Why Everybody’s Doing Stack & Tilt - And You Should Too!

Follow Eric's channel here https://www.youtube.com/@CogornoGolf If you'd like to improve the consistency AND quality of your ball striking, then there's no better place to start than the movement of your pelvis throughout the entire golf swing. In this video with @CogornoGolf, we discuss the evolution of the golf swing towards a more Stack&Tilt pattern of movement, especially when it comes to weight shift. In recent years, you'll notice the best golfer's swings have gravitated towards a centred (no weight shift) backswing, with a weight forward (hip slide) downswing and follow-through - exactly as Stack&Tilt would prescribe. And there's a good reason for this. Making a centred backswing pivot helps to maintain the swing centres and makes the location of the low-point more predictable. Then, in the downswing, the movement of the lower body (pelvis) towards the target not only keeps the low-point location more forwards, it also helps to move the golfer into a rightward tilt which is necessary to shallow the attack angle and to allow the golfer to keep swinging outward to the ball which allows for powerful, predictable contact, distance, and direction. In fact, if there was one "MASTER MOVE" in the golf swing that was the greatest predictor of success (or failure), I would hang my hat on it being this move. 🌎 ***Check out my NEW website www.robcheneygolf.com *** 📲 Online Lessons via SKILLEST app - https://skillest.com/app/profile/rob-cheney-2 ⛳️ In-person lessons available at ZS Academy, Leatherhead Golf Club (outdoors) and Caddi Club, Fulham (indoors) 📱 https://www.instagram.com/robcheneygolf/ If you enjoyed the video, please LIKE 👍 and SUBSCRIBE for more golf related content ⛳️ #stackandtilt #gridlife #skillest
